Standing on what was once the Gellar Residence Triston sucked in her breath, holding Logan tighter to her chest. She'd dressed him in one of the outfits his grandparents had sent soon after the tragedy. Tristno hadn't evne known he had grandparents.
It was terrifying being here. The memories of the place and the reason it no longer existed, the reason she had a child. Logan was squirming in her arms, as little boys do. He had bene ok...he cried for his mother at night. That broke Triston's heart that she could bring her to him.
Hunter....was supposed to meet them there. Supposedly they were oging to look for anything that survived the destruction. Anything they could give to the child so he knew his parents a little bit. It was hard enough losing Logan when they were seventeen, it killed Triston to realize they'd lost both in a space of ten years. how many more were to die before Hunter and she could be in peace?
"Ma..." Logan said, clapping his hands on Triston's cheeks and attempting to blow on her nose. The child was the second only thing that could make her truly smile. "I can try and be that..." She whispered to the child, smoothing his mass of hair and kissing his chubby cheek.
