After throwing up every morning for a few weeks, she was the crankiest twenty four-year-old on the face of Earth. She was craving strange foods at all times of the day, she had a habit of going into not so subtle mood swings, her magic was going completely hay-wire –
"Why me....why now"
She sank down on her couch and stared at the door. Aiden was hardly around with all the Enyo business going on, and there wasn't anybody around the flat to talk to except for her cat, who seemed to sleep all day long

Wringing her hands slightly, the young woman stood on the doorstep of the converted appartment, looking particularly troubled. Everything was become over bearing at the moment, the twins, Cassandra, Cassio, her high blood preassure and most of all the fact that Corbin just seemed to breeze through life, ignoring every issue they had.
Taking a deep breath she rapped loudly on the door, her cousin was the only person who knew about 99% of her issues, and Gabby might as well tell her about her baby complications. As she waited she stared at the door blankly, hoping the two women were still good and Delilah would be willing to listen to Gabriella rant all day about how she was about ready to hand her step daughters over to Cassandra and carry on with her life.

She didn't usually get much company this way, that was on of the reasons she'd insisted on converting the loft into an apartment in the first place. Away from the manor houses and needless drama her family always seemed to supply in no short order. It wasn't like her to keep anybody waiting too long, but she hardly felt like running, and she was making a conscious effort to calm herself down anyways. Warily, as if expecting the worse, she she cracked opened the door a bit, paranoid. When she saw Gabriella she smiled softly and opened it further, welcoming her in to her well...it wasn't -that- humble of an abode. The fixtures and fittings are all top draw - glass partitions, limestone tiles, walnut floors. But the real wow factor was from the high ceiling and the spiral staircase that led to the terraced rooftop. It was cozy, though cleaner then it had ever been. A whole army of house elfs couldn't of kept it up more....Delilah had been rather busy
"Oh I'm soooo glad to see you!"

The comforting sight of her cousin never failed to make her feel better, even when the two woman were fighting, it made Gabriella feel better just to know Delilah was there and she would never leave her. Blinking furiously she tried to rid herself of the imminent tears as well as all the bad feelings inside her. Maybe she should just take Addy's advice, though swallowing a knife might be a bit hard, it would teach the girl a lesson... that was if she even cared or noticed. Highly doubtful.
Wasting no time she stepped into the room and threw her arms around Delilah, glad to hug someone of her own height for once. Smiling softly over her cousins shoulder briefly, she stepped back. "I'm glad to see you too." Pausing for a second she wondered whether to spill everything to her cousin, but she felt so selfish coming here and just talking about her, maybe Delilah wouldn't give a dam about anything, or just tell her to grow up and deal with it. "So, you going to invite me in?"

Ironically enough, though they couldn't know it, the same thought ran through their heads at precisely the same time. Delilah had so much to say...she wasn't sure if it was really excitement either...maybe that, mixed with apprehension, fear, and a little guilt thrown in for good measure. But she didn't dare start gushing, Merlin knows what that always had gotten her. She hated herself sometimes for always wanting to be center of attention. The fact she could even feel remorseful about such a thing was a step in the right direction though. She embraced Gabriella for a moment, before stepping back and fluffing her hair out a bit and tossing it behind her shoulders, sweeping her arm towards the immaculate living room, with a tiny bit of fluster
"Yeah sorry about that, I'm a terrible hostess. Don't get many visitors out this way after all"
She walked towards the living room, which really just part of the continous long space, all designed vertically of course. Along the walls were enough books to make their old librarian jealous. But only a few were out of place on her coffee table, the expected books about quidditch of course, but nestled in between on top were a few choice selections on proper parenting. She hadn't bothered putting them away and in the midst of the otherwise clutter free loft, it seemed sort out of place. She indicated the rather plush leather couch as a nice place to unwind as she raised brow
"I'm going to go grab some chips and pickles from the kitchen. Maybe some ginger ale. Want anything?"

Flashing the woman a smile she shook her head dramatically "I guess I will forgive you this once," grinning again she walked inside, the little flat was as immaculate as her own home, she knew only too well how hard it was to make a home this beautiful but this personnal.. at least Gabriella didn't have to keep it clean, she had Twinky for that, the Elf loved her job so much she'd never have the heart to force freedom on her, or tell her she couldn't clean or cook.
Following her cousin, she let her black eyes lazily flicker over herself, one of her good points was the fact that she had an exceptional memory, she would take note of everything she saw now, it helped her feel comfortable in other peoples homes, though sometimes to the degree that she became a pain. When the couch was offered her she dropped down onto it, eager for somewhere to curl up. At the mention of food she mused over it for a second, she wasn't very hungry, but then again she needed to feed the baby, it wasn't just her after all. "Sounds good to me," smiling again she looked at the stack of books, and raised an eyebrow.
It seemed Gabriella wasn't the only one who needed to get things off of her chest.

After some fussing about in the kitchen she located her secret stash and returned to the living room, with quite the delicate balancing act. It would of made far more sense to make two trips, but Delilah had a habit of overdoing herself, and so had two glasses a bottle of ginger ale clutched in between her fingers on one hand, a jar of dill pickles in the other, and precariously on her head, a bowl of chips. All those years of Pansy making her walk while not letting the book fall paid off in this instance. Likely one of the few decent, though resented things the woman had done for her. Honestly -"Walk like a Princess damn it!"- she heard that more times then she cared to. With a heavy sigh of relief she began setting everything down on the coffee table one by one, pushing away the books that were there....oh those books. She scooped them up and turned marching them off to the bookshelf closest to the couch

If she had been feeling in a more exciteable mood she would have clapped Delilah's display and laughed, but as it was she smiled slightly as the woman walked carefully into the room, trying to balance the CRISPS. (we're in England haha) Reaching out she grabbed one deftly and popped it into her mouth, it was probably the most elegant and lady like anyone had ever eaten a crisp, but then again that was the way Gabriella did things. Sighing lightly she munched quietly, waiting for Delilah return from hiding her books.
"So who's going to go first?" At this she cracked a wry smile, both of them knew that they each had alot on their mind and a lot to share.

She sunk down on the opposite end of the couch, and opened the bottle of ginger ale, filling her glass. With a little sip she shrugged her shoulders and nodded, a small chuckle escaping her lips. She was done with being the center of attention...mostly.....sort of. Well no better time then the present to try and put somebody's else before herself
"You go ahead, no really, I don't mind. We all know how it usually goes. My life is so dramatic that I get carried away, and pretty soon nobody else gets a word in edge-wise"

Mirroring the blonde woman's actions she poured her drink, taking a refreshing sip and smiling faintly, it had been a long time since she'd have Ginger ale, it had been one of their favourites when they had been children. Gabriella could remember all the little Death Eater Brats.. and herself and Delilah of course, sat drinking it in the Malfoy garden, though it didn't seem normal, it was the nearest thing she had in her childhood that was typical.
If she hadn't been so sure, Delilah was trying her best to be considerate she would have argued and forced the girl to go first. "Where do I start?" Frowning slightly, she shook her head, deciding to try for the light hearted approach. "Can I move in here?"

"Sure, just let me kick Aiden out. He can go move in with Corbin." She let out an abrupt laugh, then put on a cute pout. "Actually that's not really fair, it's not like he has done anything wrong, other then just not be around for me when I need him. At least when I do see him he seems to get a lot...accomplished" She trailed off with a mischievous grin

It was quite uncanny that Delilah felt the same way about Aiden, though of course, Delilah wasn't having to deal with her teenage step daughters running wild, seducing men older than their parents, then insulting her and giving her high blood pressure... Lucky Delilah. "Well through not doing anything Corbin has done something, though he of course doesn't know..." frowning again she gave a half hearted smile at Delilah's joke. "Am I over reacting? I just didn't see my life like this, raising Bellatrix's children and having to put up with them telling me to go die every five seconds," smiling again she shook her head, "Funny that isn't it. My own child is in danger because of them."

"Don't ask me about those kids. You won't get an unbiased opinion. I could of maybe of helped, but I probably would of screwed them up worse then they already are. I'm not really so good with children. That's why I admire you Gabby, you've done everything you can to make the best of a bad situation. Your responsible and careful, and let's be honest, you didn't have the most loving mother in the world either. If you learned to put up with the real Bellatrix, I'm sure you can deal with Bellatrix in name only's hellspawn" She munched on a crisp and took another sip of her drink, finally finishing "If that makes any sense"

"It makes perfect sense..." musing silently she shook her head. "Or it did anyway, until I reached the end of my tether. I can't do it on my own anymore Delilah, I'm there with them more than their real parents and I get no gratitude, I risked my life meeting Enyo, for nothing! they're both ungrateful and I won't deal with it anymore. Corbin will have to realise this or..." she paused at this, not wanting to voice what the or was, it was too upsetting to imagine. She didn't want to leave their home, but it was becoming unbearable, her baby was at risk, and she was even beginning to fear for Twinky and Cassio. Frankly she doubted if anyone would notice if she packed her bags and took the elf and the girl somewhere else.

"I know they are brats Gabby...but so were we all when were that age. Don't you remember being a teenager? It's like you want what you want, and nothing else seems to matter." She paused, musing meaningfully as she stared at a pickle she had plucked from the jar, before taking a crunchy bite and talking with her mouthful
"You and Corbin have fought through so much to get to where you are today. Don't let Bellatrix ruin it, even second hand, through her kids"
