Quite frankly, Gabriella did not remember being a brat. Surprisingly enough, she had been quite a charming level headed 16 year old, so it wasn't her fault the twins were such nightmares. Ignoring the food she sighed loudly, staring at the opposite wall, though she did manage a small smile at Delilah's next words. "You know me Delilah, I want my own way, no variations. And they do not fit into my perfect life."

"What is perfect? Is that even possible? We say it like we mean it, but look. That whole rubbish about raising our children toghether side by side just isn't happening. We'll just have to make do with things being what they are."
She bit off another chunk of the pickle, and mused
"I think I'm going to go into retirement very soon, so I'll have time to help you out anyways. Maybe those two will listen to me. After all, I know what's it like to have a caring yet somewhat aloof father, and a self absorbed, bitchy mother. Even if they weren't seperated, they may as well of been"

To anyone else, Gabriella would have looked startlingly like a sulking child, who's mother had told her she can't want exactly what she wanted, though Delilah would understand this as something much milder. "It would be perfect if Bellatrix Black had never been born and you'd just give up and move in next door," even this joke didn't draw a smile for her, though her eyes were strangely dry as she thought about what would happen if she gave up and left. "You can adopt them for all I care, I'm serious, I'm done with them."

"No matter how reckless I may be, there's two things I'm sure that I can't handle. One is just up and leaving Aiden. Sometimes I miss the mark, but I've tried to stay true to my word for the past ten years. The other would be trying to take on three kids at once. I'm not even sure I can handle one" She had done her best to be sympathetic to Gabby, and had said all she really could. Sure she could force those two to be nice to her cousin, but she really didn't want her and her unborn child whisked away under lock and key for using an unforgivable or two. Unwittingly though, she had been dancing around her own situation, dropping very unintentional hints

Still no noise of amusment would leave her at Delilah's few jokes, though she knew the woman was serious. At that moment in time she had never wished she was anyone else more, even when she was little and being attacked by god awful creatures as part of character building time. The words about three kids had not slipped past her, but she didn't express any surprise, she had practially already guessed after seeing the books, it didn't take a genius after all. "Got any names yet?" her voice sounded distracted and she was still staring at the wall opposite.

She nearly spit out her ginger ale, dribbling it on her chin, and wiping it off in a total blonde moment. That kind of took the suprise out of the suprise. But she shook it off, even if she did wonder how Gabby figured it out
"I'm pregnant by the way" She laughed at this, the way it sounded odd after she had already been asked about possible names. After a sudden silence she piped up, doing her best to sound excited, though there was apprehension and fear in mixed in
"I really don't want to debate with Aiden, so I've pretty much settled on either Renita or Maia for a girl, and Romulus for a boy"

The surprised way in which Delilah reacted finally made her break her stoney persona and she laughed the way she hadn't laughed in a long time. It was the kind of laughter she remembered doing when she was 17 and she had laid in Delilah's bed when the girl had turned into a fox, when they had discussed Gabriella's stolen night with Corbin. The memory made her smile, and she wished that everything could be like that again... well except for the part where Corbin was marrying a pregnant Bellatrix.
"I guessed, I like Maia," her voice was slightly dreamy as she continued to stare at the wall, her mind strangely blank. Pregnancy lost some of it's shock when you were yourself six months pregnant. "When are you going to tell him?"

"I fancy that one as well. Maia...the eldest daughter, greatness...purity" She added the last part at the end, and it was clear that she still held on to some old beliefs, even if she sometimes only paid them lip service. It might of been why she helped out Cassandra, out of guilt. She pondered the question for a good while, finishing her pickle, and creating an awkward silence before finding her voice again
"I don't know how he will take it. For that matter, I'm not even sure how I'm taking it. I'm a terrible wife and will probably be an awful mother" At this she suddenly remembered she had her wedding band in her pocket still. She'd been carrying it there, not wanting to look at it since she bumped into Evan...well more then just bumped into him. Retrieving from her pocket, she slid it on to her finger, with a faint smile

A polite smile fluttered around her lips as Delilah spoke of purity again, Gabriella hadn't even thought of her child in this way, though to be honest she was more concerned about having it survive than it's status at the present time. Gabriella still had no idea whether she would live long enough to deliver the child, let alone watch it grow up. To look at her you would have thought her world was crumbling slowly around her, and in a way it was, but she couldn't let it, she was a Lestranger, they were stronger than that.
Trying to straighten her posture she watched Delilah slip her ring on, and frowned delicately. "Why didn't you have it on?" no doubt the answer would be something stupid like 'I was watching,' and it was highly unlikely Gabby would believe her.

"Oh that...it's nothing really"
She pushed her long blonde hair back behind her shoulders and sat up a bit, as she looked down at her finger. It feld odd now, that extra weight, after she had left it off for a few days. She'd almost forgotten about it completely, which was unnerving in and out of itself. She forced a smile, and it was obviously quite fake
"I'm just scatty, that's all"

The expression on her face as she finally wrenched her gaze fully from the blank wall and back to Delilah's face clearly showed that she didn't believe her cousin. "Delilah how long have I known you?" The question was rhetorical of course, she had known the woman all of her life, and she could tell when there was something wrong, and especially when Delilah was lying to her. As for the answer, scatty had never been a word Gabriella would use to describe Delilah.

It was obvious her cousin was calling her bluff, and she didn't like lying to her anyways. It just wasn't the kind of thing one liked to admit to doing, even if it felt good at the time. She relented, deciding the only way to deal with the guilt was to talk about it, and better her then Aiden. He was rather possessive after all, and no telling how he would react
"Gabby, you remember little Evan Rosier?"

Keeping her rather blank expression on Delilah, she waited patiently for the answer she knew would come. Though when it came it shocked her out of her numbness and she frowned. Evan? Yeah she remembered him, not sure he was little though... "The tall cute one?" Compared to all the other children she had grown up with, he had always been the 'leader.' "Yes I remember him, he came by the house the other, to drop something off for Uncle Lucius.." pausing she looked at Delilah, Gabriella realised she had been rambling. "Why?"

"Yeah that one...oh, I only call him little Evy because he is a junior after all. He is cute isn't he?" She realized she was probably grinning at that description a bit too much and tried to cover it with a slight frown "Well we ran into each other the other day in the ice cream parlour, you know how I spend so much time there after all, bound to run into people I know...anyways, he being the perceptive lad that he is noticed by insane need for sodium intake, and we got to talking, and catching up, and then we went back to his house and, well....I'm really not sure why I." She was rambling on and on, and didn't really know how to end it, so just blushed and said it right out "We bonked"

When Delilah finished her speech, Gabriella's mouth was a perfect 'O' of surprise, her black eyes fixed on the woman's green ones. "Excuse me..." she paused again and tried for more words. "but I thought you just said you.. bonked," Delilah was a married woman! She couldn't just go around sleeping with every which man she wanted, but Gabby knew she had to be supportive and understanding.. "Well I guess if I had to choose anyone for infidelity, it would be him," musing silently she leant back against the leather. "I'm actually jealous." A smile crept onto her cheeks at this, as she imagined the excitement of having an affair. "Want to share?"
