"You must be," she said slowly, "or you wouldn't have come here." She affixed her sunken eyes on him and seemed to tast the air with her forked tongue before laughing cruely
"I ask not much of you, only a simple thing. If it is a simple thing that you can not do, then I will not hesitate to make an example of you. Your foolish pride will be your undoing. But I won't kill you out right Dante, I would strip the flesh from your wife's skin and dine on her flesh while you are forced to watch and your last thought will be guilt, guilt for letting such a thing out into the world again"

"Then you are mistaken," he said, not bothering to expand and tell her why he had come. If she wanted to know, she could ask. He wasn't going to tell her just now,and she couldn't break into his mind, so if she wanted to know, it was the only way. He doubted she would care though.
She believed herself to be all powerful. She believed herself to be unbeatable. Unstoppable. That would be her downfall, be it tonight if she attacked, or many years from now. Either way, her belief in her self would be her undoing.
"I am no follower Cassandra." Would the use of her name annoy her? He didn't use it because of that. He used it because it was what he had always called her. It was her name, and he wasn't going to start calling her by whatever title she had come up with.
"I am not at your service, nor will I ever be. Our goal is a shared one, yet your hunger for power and control is evident. If you cannot handle my disagreement, then that is not my problem."
He was still deadly calm. But also prepared. Prepared for anything she may throw at him. Or anything any of the others may throw at him. Though he felt that she wouldn't attack.

"Apparently asking you to take this lot along with you is far too much to ask of you, if you can not handle such a simple task, then you are of no further use to me Dante Wood, follower, idealist, would be equal, or otherwise. You have betrayed the little trust I had put in you. Remove yourself from my sight and do not trouble me again. Tonight I spare you, but next time we cross paths I can not promise such mercy"

"I am no servant Cassandra." Again he used her original name. It may have seemed that he was deliberately doing so, but it was just natural, and what he would always call her, no matter what.
He smiled at her comment on the 'simple task'. "If it was not for my ability to perform 'simple tasks', as you put it, you would not stand here today." It amused him that a lot of her power came from the fear she instilled in people. That fear was not evident in him, so she had no advantage.

She looked around at all those around her, searching their faces for answers, weighing their souls it seemed. And some, when she looked in were found...wanting. She had not wanted this for Dante and Lauren, but he had to understand that she could not allow him to openly defy her. She always assumed that mutual respect was something best left in private, not in front of others.
"I am less than jubilant to have traitors in our midst. Dante, you and your wife will of course, have to be dealt with accordingly. That goes for any of you. If you are planning to revolt against your Lady, I suggest you do your research. There is only one side in this war, and there will only be victors remaining when the dust settles. I will destroy anyone who rises against me, no matter who you are. " Her wand crackled with power, as she rose it, prepared to strike at a moment's notice
"You must understand Dante, all who align themselves with my cause will be better off for their devotion when we are successful. But anyone who expresses a desire to turn to the other side will suffer for their ignorance."

"It seems your view on a traitor is different from mine," he said simply. "I have no desire to join the other side, but I also have no desire to bow down to your every command." He could sense an attack from her. Something told him she'd go for Lauren instead of him. Whoever she attacked - if she did attack - he would be ready. It wasn't time for his wand just yet. Soon he thought, but ot right now.
"I did not break you out of St. Mungos in order to follow you. I did so as we share a common goal. If you cannot accept that, then it is your loss." No doubt she would believe that not having him on her side wasn't a big deal. It was though. He had more power than she was aware of. A lot more.
He waited for her response, eyeing her calmly as well as questioningly with those scarred eyes of his. He was also aware of everyone else there, and was prepared for anything that would happen. He could have his wand drawn in the blink of an eye.

"I do not share visions Dante. Being your partner is simply not amusing to me. I am a simple woman. I don't like to fuss, and I don't ask for much. Just give me the ability to live forever, and allow me to drink from a goblet the blood of my greatest enemies. I have worked tirelessly for the greater part of my life, in order to find the key to true and unrelenting power. And now, with what could be the last days of my struggle coming ever so much closer, I spend every waking moment of my existence plotting for success. And, oh, what a good day it will be, when I can stand atop those who have tried in vain, the victor. All who refused to bow before me will be punished beyond all comprehension, and those who found the nerve to fight me will realize the futility of their efforts"
She nodded to the others, and said with not a hint of guilt or remorse
"Kill them both"

He grinned, a strange thing to do consiering the situation. He wondered if she felt him not worthy to die by her own wand - not that he thought she culd kill him - or that she was afraid of fighting him. Probably the first, but he reckoned there was the smallest hint of fear, even if she would never admit it. Ever.
He drew his wand, and glanced at Lauren. He did not want her harmed, and even though she could handle herself, it was best to be safe. Summoning a stone, he took it in his hand, and turned it into a portkey, before dropping it into hers, transporting her away into a forest in the North of Scotland before she could argue. He had done it all in a bout a second.
Looking around he saw he was outnumbered, not that he cared. He would wait for them to attack.

The girls short hair fluttered slightly in the breeze as she stared out to the stormy sea, Aurors would begin to arrive soon, the break out hadn't been prevented and back up was needed. The conversation had not interested her up until now, the arrogant man did not concern her, if he wanted to die, so be it. A wild grin spread her strangely pretty features as she turned her blue eyes on him, no doubt he wasn't too bothered about being outnumbered, his ego was large indeed, and one of his weaknesses was he underestimated people.
It never boded well to underestimate Eris, she was after all the bringer of bloodshed.
Drawing her wand from where she had shoved it in her bra, she smiled again, enjoying the feeling of the thin piece of wood in her hand, like an extension of herself. It had been torture without it.

Cello stood, wand in hand and paused for a moment before acting on Lady Enyo's words. Turning quickly to face Dante he shot a killing curse at him, but aimed it over his shoulder. He didn't want to kill him for he was the one that let him go, but he didn't wanna f*ck with Enyo.

A wild giggle left her lips as Cello sent a spell at the boy, she knew it had been sent awry on purpose and giggled again. "Naughty naughty my little musical instrument," raising her own wand she twirled it and trained it on the man who had let them go. She knew she should feel some sort of gratitude towards him, but she didn't it was that simple. Glancing at Cello again she laughed openly at him, he wasn't like her, he didn't enjoy the thrill of the kill, no doubt he had been pressured into killing whoever he had to land himself in there.

He didn't dive to dodge the Killing Curse that hurtled past him. He knew it was missing, and if he had moved it may have hit. These people weren't going to mess about, though he could maybe take advantage of that.
Flicking his wand, a minor tremor shook the ground underfoot. It wasn't an actual attack, more an unbalancing attack. The tremor itself wasn't meant to hurt them - though if it did then so be it - but just to let them know if he was going down, he was taking them with him.
After another sharp flick of his wand, this time in the upward direction, three balls of fire erupted from it and travelled into the air. The Fiendfyre suddenly began to take shape, forming three elegant, orange-red fiery hawks. Just like the form of his patronus.
Making sure to be aware of any movements they made, two of the hawks swooped down towards the man who had attacked, and the other flew at the girl who had drawn her wand. The man got two of them because he had already attacked. It wasn't because he thought him to be more of a threat than the girl. She may even be better than him.

All the earthquake managed to do was make her look at the ground with mild interest, she did not lose her footing or even stumble, it was one of the perks of being so light and light on her feet. Smiling faintly she looked back at the man who had caused it. "Rumble rumble," she crooned softly.
Watching the balls of fire appear she gave them the same look she had given the earthquake, the expression stayed on her face even when the fiery hawk dived for her. It was very foolish of the man to conjure such a thing, there was no known spell to cease it's existance completely, but with a lazy flick of her wand she did the incredibly complicated magic needed to shield herself from it, and it bounced of harmlessly.

He didn't think his hawks would connect, but they were still there, and he made them hover above, waiting. Each hawwk then suddenly split into two, creating six hawks. He could do that all day, until there were too many toprotect against, but six of them hovering dangerously overhead was enough. For now.
He stood there, awaiting an attack. It may not come for a while, but he didn't mind. He had - without letting them know - cast a barrier between himself and the girl. It was undetectable, as he hadn't spoke, or moved his wand. The first curse she attacked him with - if she didn't walk a couple of yards foward and walk into his barrier - would rebound towards her.

She was rather amused by his display of magic...it wasn't very scary was it? Tremors...uncontrollable firefynds. Not exactly the stuff of nightmares was it. She had stopped her pacing away when she neared the edge of the cliff, looking out over the waves. She spoke loudly, above the sound of fighting
"What's next Dante? Rivers of blood, rain of toads...swarm of locusts? You are not the only one with pets you know..."
She began to speak in parseltongue, though it was odd...there didn't seem to be any serpents around that she could possibly be conversing with...or were there?
