The ward was buzzing with conversation as Gabriella sat surrounded by old work colleagues and new one that had 'heard all about her' in their own words. It was nice to see everyone, though it had only been a few months since she had 'retired' at such a young age. IT all reminded her how much she had loved being a healer, and she even enjoyed the way all the women fawned over her, telling her how beautiful she looked still and how she had the 'healthy pregnant glow,' that everyone heard about.
When finally everyone had relented and remembered they had patients to look after, having dismissed themselves with hundreds of apologys and congratulations and such, Gabriella sat on her own in a comfortable chair in the childbirth ward, waiting for her check-up. Corbin should be here soon, he had a test to preside over at noon, but it should be done by quarter past and he should be here a few minutes after. It was now 7 minutes past twelve, so she didn't have long to wait alone.
Smoothing her shirt over her ever growing stomach she smiled faintly, though it was filled with happiness, it was more over amusement at the situation, sure everyone thought she was grown-up, they had at school, but she still felt 17 in many ways, especially when she was with Corbin. For once she had chosen to abandon her couture day dresses and had dressed down in her favourite pair of grey drainpipes and a white vitorian esque smock top, with a high collar and lace and buttons. She looked quite the young Lady, now all she needed was her Lord to drive away any nerves she had about the imminent appointment.

Corbin stood by Gabby's side holding her hand. This was his third child so much of the things going on he was used to. However everything was new as well. The wife for example. Laughing he smoothed her hair lightly and pressed a soft kiss to her lips.

Taking a deep breath, she watched the nurses run back and fourth, she had spent so much time here, but she was terrified for her appointment, what if something was wrong? It was something she couldn't handle and the mere thought made her vision blur. Swatting the tears quickly she looked up at her fiancee and accepted the kiss, she hated the fact that all the time they would be here, Corbin would be thinking about Bellatrix and the twins, she wanted it to be about them and their child, not the past.

Kissing her on the forhead Corbin rubbed his fiancee's back. "You're fine and so is our girl." He said, smiling at her. He had a feeling it was another girl and he was excited nonetheless. He probably would have shit himself if it had been a boy, that'd be something way weird for him.

Though no verbal reaction was given by her she melted against him, enjoying the comforting feeling of his hand as she closed her eyes. In the darkness she was safe, no one could harm her or her child, or Corbin or anybody. Opening her eyes suddenly she blushed and remembered the little girl she had left at home. "Corbin I have something to tell you...?" she hated the way it sounded, as if she had cheated on him and had suddenly decided she wanted a clean conscience.

Those were words he hated hearing, especially when they included his name at the beginning. "Dear god..." He said, raising an eyebrow at her and smirking. He'd noticed Alli was doing that a lot as well. "Please don't tell me you're....a lesbian." He quarked in to know he was all ears.

For some wild reason, that fact that he had not blown up at her disappointed her, she really was a screwed up woman. Smiling to match his smirk she shook her head, "'Faid not, no lesbian life partner or anything," twidling her fingers slightly she looked back at him, "You know I love you right?" She knew she still sounded big and dramatic, but she had no idea how Corbin would react to the fact that she had invited Cassandra Salvatores niece to live with them.

Sighing he rubbed circles against the small of her back. "And I love you...." Putting his forhead to hers he smirked. "You can have a bi partner though, then I can play." He teased her, laughing.

Pressing her lips to his she smiled against them, and a burst of giggles escaped her at his words, but she hit him slightly over the head. "So I'm not enough for you now?" It was so easy just to get taken off by this new train of teasing, but she knew she had to tell him sometime, he'd notice a little girl walking around eventually. "I invited a little girl to live with us... she's from the hospital," fighting not to bite her lip she looked at him, waiting for his expression, but as she did she saw the nurse trot over to them. "You're next Gabby," she said as Gabriella rose from her seat, taking Corbin's hand and leading him silently towards the examination room.

"Does this little girl involve the name Salvatore? If so, hell no." He said sternly. He was sure the girl needed help, but his daughters well being and his new child's as well was more important than the girl he didn't evne know. AS wrong as the sounde dthat's how it was for him. Walking in with her he pinched the bridge of his nose.

It was involuntary but as she took a seat and the nurse disappeared to get the healer, she stared to him with her mouth agape. Maybe she never gave her fiancee enough credit, sure he was gorgeous, but how did he know about this? She remained that way for a few seconds as she fought the tears that seemed to be threatening all the time now, didn't he know how important this was to her? She couldn't just kick the girl out, she had no where to go. Turning pleading eyes to his she looked at him for a moment, until the healer arrived and she looked away, blinking the tears out of her eyes at the same time.

Sighing he rubbed the nape of his neck. "Gabs....why?" He asked her, feeling his stomach clench. He was not endangering his family.

The healer gave her a pleasant smile and she returned it, she refused to discuss this while the woman was here. Faintly she heard the woman speak to her as she fought back tears, though she had no idea why they were there. "How are we today Mrs Jackson?"
Gabby didnt even bother to correct her, it would be right soon enough anyway so she merely smiled and nodded. "I'm fine," the Healer gave her a matching smile and passed her a smock top, before asking her to put it on though her jeans could stay on. Nodding, Gabby saw her exit quickly, they were to call her when she was ready.
Sighing lightly she pulled her shirt up over her head before looking at her fiancee, "Why not?"

Watching her undress Corbin remembered the first time he kissed. Shaking his head he wondered why that thought was coming toh im now. Probably nostalgia at its finest. "Because she's related to someone after my daughter's and my fiancee?" He stated. He didn't care what anyone said Cassandra would come for them all.

Pulling the thin material over her bare front and her arm she flipped her hair out of the way, waiting for him to tie it. All in all she thought he was being unreasonable. "She's just a child, she's flowers daughter, not Cassandra's, Flower was harmless," frowning slightly she looked at him, wondering what he was keeping from her to protect her feelings. "What harm could she cause? Cassandra is coming either way," the truth was she felt the girl being orphaned was her fault, though it was irrational, after all, Flower wouldn't be dead if she was locked up when Gabby had the chance. Shaking her head faintly she felt her vision blur. "Did you know that Cassandra was responsible for the attack on me?"
