The last thing Gabriella remembered was Bellatrix taking hold of her and the uncomfortable but familiar sensation of side along apparition. After that everything was a blur or blood and voices and screaming... there was little wonder the woman was gripped by a fear she had never felt before. Upon her arrival, the healers had flocked to her, assuming of course that it was just a normal labour, it seemed no one had told them that Gabriella's stomach had received a strong spell, and was currently a mess of blood and gashes.
When this sight finally returned she gasped loudly, trying to sit up to no avail as she was pushed back down by strong arms. Tears sprung to her eyes as she breathlessly called out a name "Corbin.." to most it would be undistinguishable due to the sobs that were now racking her body.
A strange feeling of numbness overcame her and she let out a sharp breath, someone was casting spells on her, healing her.. but would it be enough? The thought that maybe her children couldn't be saved was constantly flashing through her mind. Where was her fiancee? Why wasn't he here with her? Anger flushed her at this, wiping away the emotionless void that had settled over her. Didn't he care that his children could die? That Gabriella could die?
It didn't last long for her to settle back into terror however, as she was told that they would have to operate, one of the babies was in danger...
The aneasthetic wasn't the reason for the sudden floppiness of Gabriella, as she melted into comforting unconscious, her body nor her mind able to cope with everything that was happening.

She knew she couldn't be in there while they were operating. Sure enough Corbin wasn't even allowed....not that she had seen him since they all got here. He must of ran off to well...she knew where, but it wasn't something she really cared to think about. At any rate, the moment she was in fact allowed in, she was at her cousin's bedside, staring blankly at the far wall, waiting for her to come around

It was hardly a reassuring feeling, being pulled out of unconsciousness and not being able to see anything around you. It only served to increase Gabriella's terror that was welling inside her, as fierce as the anger that was more commonly present. It took all her effort to simply twitch her fingers, she knew she had to wake up, to see if her babies were ok. Nothing else mattered, everyone could be dead at that moment in time and she would not batt an eyelash.
The only sign that she was awake was the small flutter of her eyelids as she strained to gan control of her body, it was eerily silent around her, there was a strange beep coming from somewhere and there was an uncomfortably cold feeling around her stomach that once more, did not help her. Apart from that there was no other sounds, no reassuring words whispered to her, no crying...
Was she alone? Did no one care or was everyone dead? At that point she actually wished it was the latter, otherwise it was a horrible thought to know no one had come to be with her.
When her black eyes finally flicked open and feeling returned to her body she gasped sharply, her eyes wide with pain and fear.

It wasn't that she didn't care about Gabby. Hell she'd gone out of her way and put her own child in danger, the way she had confronted Bella about the supposed tryst that she was still having with Corbin. That was something she figured she should mention to someone here, the abnormal pains she'd been having since, but it was also the last thing she wanted to do, with everything else going on. Sometimes though, Delilah was just at a loss for words. All she could really do was softly grab Gabby's hand to let her know that, hey at least she was here

It took her a few moments for everything around her to register, the blank cream walls, the private room.. she was in the hospital, that she knew but her knowledge of the establishment lead her to realise she was i the recovery room for serious injuries. The thought made her stomach clench terribly. What would she do if she'd lost her twins? Never before had she actually emphathised with Bellatrix and her position on her daughters.
Sitting up was something that she would not be capable of for a few hours, but thankfully she could turn her head and she desperately searched the room for anyone else. When her eyes settled on her cousin, tears sprang to her eyes, a mixture of relief that she was there and alive, and pain that Corbin was not. Gabriella didn't need to voice the reason behind the bleariness of her eyes, Delilah would know why she was upset. Where was her fiancee...? Biting back a sob she managed a raspy "Delilah" before giving her an imploring look and trailing off.

She nodded slightly, still trying to make sense of everything in her head. She felt numb..cold. She couldn't stop thinking that maybe she'd been selfish not to rush into the fight. For once in her life she had not acted recklessly, and it had cost Gabriella a child, little baby Logan his parents, among other losses that day. Maybe sacrificing herself wouldn't of made things any better, but then at least she wouldn't be burdened with guilt. Finally she broke her silent vigil, and spoke softly...quietly, but surely, not wanting to lay more on her cousin then she could handle
"Corbin was here, at first. He's off checking on the others now. He's got a big heart, he cares about everybody. So I know he'll be back"
She deliberately left out anything about her babies. Even if she had to be the one to break it to her, it didn't mean she was excited about it

Usually Gabriella would never believe her cousin to lie to her deliberately, but she couldn't help but suspect it now. Trying to bite back tears she made an awful sobbing now. "He wasn't here was he?" At first she had felt great relief that he wasn't dead, but now the realisation hit her that, if he was alive, he should be here, and he wasn't, "What the hell is more important than the life of his children?" The answer echoed simply in her mind and she gave a cruel laugh that left her breathless and choking. "Bellatrix and the brats."

After getting considerably and pathetically lost thought he knew where he was going Corbin walked through the door briskly, pressing a firm kiss on Gabriella's forhead, nodding kindly at Delilah, and keeping tears to a minimum. "Gabs..." He whispered, unsure of what to say, and terrified that his children were both gone...he'd had an inkling.

She wringed her hands nervously, as if this was suddenly someplace she didn't want to be. She wasn't lying, this was the first place Corbin had been, and with any luck, it would be where he would stay. It was what was most important, the here and now, at least in Delilah's opinion, though if pressed, she would admit she was biased. They hadn't really resolved their issues, and now one of their children was gone. She couldn't even imagine....softly her words fell from her lips as she stood up ever so slowly. After all, she was well not as far along as Gabby had been, but quite a bit further then say Addy. Maybe that was the only thing that spared her, who could say
"I...I should go"

Keeping her eyes fixed on Delilah she squeezed her eyes shut, still aware that no one had told her the situation. Sobbing again she clutched her stomach, the reduced size only served to make her feel worse and she curled onto her side ignoring the pain that was shooting through her stomach she kept her hands around the phantom bump.
When the door opened she tried to open her eyes but her vision was blurred by tears. As lips pressed against her forehead she flinched away, it was Corbin. "Don't kiss me with lips you would rather be on someone else Corbin," through her words she didn't look at thim, but there was a telltale crack of her voice at the end before she practically screamed the words "Someone tell me what has happened, where are my children?"
Looking at Delilah she gave her a pleading look before finishing in a quiet voice. "Please don't leave me."

She damned herself for being here in the first place. Between a rock and hard place. She didn't need to go, but shouldn't maybe stay. Most of all she needed to pull it toghether if she was going to let either of them know what was going on. After all, she had been closely monitoring the situation, because there wasn't really anybody she cared about more then Gabriella these days
"I don't know how to say this, so I'll just come right out with it. Your son didn't make it, but your daughter is pulling through."
She put her hand over her mouth, doing her best to be strong for Gabby, and not cry as she muttered "I'm so sorry"

To look at her anyone would have think Delilah had just told her something as trivial as she had lost her favourite bag. It was strange how people in the face of such news just blanked out. No tears leaked from her eyes, and all trace of old ones had dried. The only sign that she had heard was the sudden tightening of her arms around her stomach. The eyes that had been full of heartbreak a moment before were now blank and staring, an unnerving sight for anyones eyes.
The words had registered, but this was her way of trying not to take notice of them, it was the same thing she had done when Logan had died all those years ago, and it hadn't done her much good then. Her son was dead? How... how could this happen? She had tried everything to keep them safe, it was little compensation that they still had a little girl.

[[corbin]]
Staring at Gabby, hearing her words, made him sick. She thought she had the right to speak of lips on others? It made no sense at all.
Upon hearing the loss of a son...he ached. Another daughter, thank god she was ok. In some ways after all the trauma of the day he couldn't help but think go figure at the thought of his lost son. It seemed to be a destiny. Feeling nothing was better than feeling anything at the moment. "She's pulling through..." He whispered painfully, tears slipping down his cheeks for the first time in ten years.

Finally turning her wide eyes on him she stared at him for a moment, her face expressionless and as eerily beautiful as usual, like an ice Queen. At that moment in time nothing mattered except her daughter. "I want to see her," her voice was hoarse but she managed it with little feeling in her voice. Even in her state she could tell Corbin thought her a hypocrite, she didn't even bother to point out that there had been nothing between her and Tino, except sex, but she was no fool, after eleven years she knew enough about Corbin to guess his thoughts.

Delilah didn't know what else to say. As a matter of fact she was almost sure there was nothing she could say that make it better really. But she also hated being the bearer of bad new and just absolutely tore her heart out seeing her cousin like this. She'd always been so strong, so there for her...so to have to stand on her own two feet was very hard for her
"I know what your thinking, why? But don't let your minds drift there, it's no good. Just count your blessings. You still have a daughter who needs you, both of you, and despite everything, you have each other. Nobody can take that away. Nobody""
