Emmaline Lestrange bounced merrily on the lap of her somber mother as her bright blue eyes spotted a bus chugging past them. Even something so trivial as enough to excite the little baby, and in turn even made Gabriella smiled as her own black eyes watched the small girl. It was strange how even though she child was a newborn, she already had her own little personality, that Gabriella loved in every which way. The news that Cissy had had her baby had reached her, though she still had not gone to see her, it hurt Gabriella to know that Corbin had been at the birth of Narcissa's baby but not there to see his won daughter born and his son die.
The thought still made her stomach clench and tears spring to her eyes, so far there had been no inclination that losing his child had bothered Corbin in anyway, everyone she had spoke to seemed to be under the impression that he was constantly by her cousins side looking after her and the baby. Did Emmaline not mean anything to him?
The baby seemed blissfully unaware of any of the turmoil raging in her Mother as they sat on the small wooden bench on the busy London streets. Gabby hadn't wanted to risk Diagon Alley, the throng of the muggle streets was much more comforting. No one knew they were anything more than a pretty young Mother and her adorable daughter watching the traffic and other shoppers.

Corbin stood in the owlery for a few hours. Not knowing what to do, he stared at the letter in his hands.
-Gabriella.....simply because our relationship did not work does not mean I want to be cut off from my daughter, don't do that, to either of us. -Corbin.- Making his stomach clench Corbin reached for the trash nearby, emptying the contents of his stomach into it. The letter was on it's way to wherever Gabby was.

Burying her hands in the babies fluffy jumpsuit she smiled once more. When she was doing something just as simple as sitting with Emmaline, letting the girl take in new sights and sounds, she could forget all the troubles, the past... everything. Leaning forward she placed a small kiss on the girls matching alabastor skin, her brunette girl swinging in front of the girl much to her delight as she made a grab for it.
A loud flapping noise made her sit up straight and she could have literally cringed as a large owl settled beside her on the bench. There was no point in her trying to usher it away, this she knew, it would not give up until she received it. Trying to be as inconspicuous as possible she moved the baby in her lap and reached out, pulling the letter free before the owl rose back up into the air. Recognising the writing she paused before opening it slowly and scanning the words. Scoffing slightly, she rolled it up quickly and threw it into the nearby bin, no emotion showing except a small smile that was curling her lips.
Maybe if anyone had been around that knew her, they would have realised just how wrong this was of her, how out of character she was being at the moment, but there was no one.

Corbin stood in the windy street, wiating for a reply of some kind. The next step was going to the Wizarding Administration to get some form of custody of Emmaline. If there was one thing he knew he was good at it was being a father, whatever else he'd failed at parenting wasn't one of them.
