Name: March Almings
Age: 25
Job Applying for: Shop owner in Diagon Alley
Experience: At least fifteen years of inventing and brewing potions, a muggle business degree, and newly developing people skills.
Why should you have the job?: it's the only thing March can do really well, besides...everyone wants a cheering potion.
Sample of you in the job: March yawned as she stepped down the stairs. She lived above the shop. After borrowing money from her grandmother she had purchased the building so that she could brew and sell her potions and not have to worry about getting to and from work.
March pulled out her wand, then lit the flames beneath the cauldron in one of the display windows. The flames would need to be monitored, but that was no trouble. She wondered if she should throw some herbs into the water in the cauldron, but then decided against it. The fragance could get overwhelming after a few hours.
A quick inspection and a sweeping of the floor readied the shop for opening. March unlocked the door, then flicked her wand towards the sign in front of the shop. The wooden plaque shifted so that it read:
The Wayward Muse:
Potions for all and sundry
Now Open
March stood at the counter, waiting for her first customer. The store had been open for only a few days, and already more and more customers came in. Searching for certain potions, and discovering more that she had invented. Word of mouth advertised better than any advert in the daily prophet.
