Bella confidently made her way to the Minister of Magic's office. She clutched in her hand a paper that freed her from her marriage to Zakk. It wasn't as if she didn't love him, for she held deep feelings for him and always would. She just couldn't stay with him after what she did to him. She felt too guilty.
She opened the door without announcing herself. "Good day, Christina," Bella nodded with an air of superiority. Since the massacre preformed under Enyo's name had happened at the Astin wedding, the minister had pardoned Bella and tried to act as if they were BFFs. She re-appointed Bella as Head of Magical Law Enforcement, in hopes that everything would just blow over.
"Ah, how nice to see you Bella!" the minister greeted her warmly. "What is it I can do for you?"
"You can put your signature on this," Bella said, placing the document in front of her. "It grants me a divorce from Zakk, and full custody of our daughter, Cambree. See, I have decided to move to France. I need to get away from everything in my past. I'm only twenty-eight, and I feel like more has happened in these short years to me than anyone who has lived to be one-hundred."
The minister brightened at this. She would simply love for Bella to disappear to a different country. Grabbing a quill, she inked her signature onto the document without bothering to look it over. "Of course Miss. Black. Or, as I should now call you, Miss Noire."
"Thank you, Minister," Bella grinned. She stood and turned to leave.
"Bella, Belle, would you like me to recommend you to the French Ministry? I'm sure they could use your talents."
"No thank you minister. I plan to retire. See, I still have my Black inheritance, and the money I have saved from my time at your ministry. I want to raise my children in peace, away from the stresses of work, or haunts from my past."
"Children, as in, plural?" the minister asked. "I thought your twins were of age, Belle?"
"Indeed they are. I mean Cambree and her future sibling." Without another word, Mrs. Bella Thorne left the office, henceforth to be known as Miss Belle Noire.
